Mary Grace and Charlo have TB and are getting the medical care they need.  Testing the other orphans for TB needs to be done.  Any amount donated to our medical fund will go for that testing.

Thanks to Gordon Mendenhall, Half Price Books at Castleton in Indy has generously donated many boxes of books for our library.  Thank you, Half Price Books!   The USPS is now offering book rate shipping and the cost of sending a 35# box of books to Kenya is $170.  Alice Ream and her family generously provided the funds to send 3 boxes of reading books.  Would you please consider sending a box?

The Western M.S. 7th graders have donated five boxes of wonderful books for Bright Star's library and have raised some money that will help pay for the postage.  We still need money to ship these books over to Kenya.

You can become a sponsor.  At this time, all orphans are sponsored, but check back frequently as we get new children from time to time.

You can purchase a copy of the picture on the right.  The picture was originally a photo taken at the school's gate by a friend during a visit to Bright Star.  Sarah chose the photo for a IUKokomo class project and painted it by computer.  The result is absolutely amazing.  As Myrna says, "The picture certainly says it all."  The picture is 9 1/2" x 15".  Pictures are $10; if you want it mailed to you, $3 has to be added for postage and the mailing tube.  All proceeds will be used for scholarships.

You can contribute to our Scholarship Fund.  Our graduates are strongly encouraged to get additional training after high school graduation.  Some will go to college to become doctors, lawyers, and teachers.  Some want to pursue careers in hotel management, modeling, and Computer Science.  Others want vocational training in various fields.  Your donation to our scholarship fund will ensure that these young people get the educational they need to be successful in life.
